Ashton’s goal is to drive professionally and have a career in motorsports. Ashton and our family are focused on helping him make the transition from the karting ranks to the IndyCar or Nascar series. Ashton’s first three years of racing included racing kid karts with Honda engines going 40 mph. During these kid karts races, Arizona had the biggest kid kart fields of 15-18 kids in the class. Ashton put it on the pole several times, won many heat races, and won many mains.

Ashton raced kid karts through the Spring of 2019 and in the Fall of 2019, he moved up to Junior 1 with the Briggs L206 engine. Through his first 15 events, he has been on pole, won heat races, trophied six times, and also been on the top step winning his first 206 race in June of 2020. In June 2020 Ashton received his first Micro Swift. He placed second in his first Micro Swift race, and won his second-ever Micro Swift race! Ashton completed his first National L206 race in October 2020 with more than 20 in the kart field with kids up to 13-years old. Starting at the back, Ashton was able to race his way toward the front. In the main, he started 7th, got pushed back to 15th, and worked his way back through the field to finish 7th.

At the biggest races of the year in Las Vegas in November 2020, Ashton raced Rok the Rio. As one of the youngest amongst kids who have been racing Micro Swift for three years, Ashton was able to battle back from adversity. An engine challenge forced a start in the back in one heat and near the back in another heat. In the main, he was on a mission and worked his way up with his best lap time only 7/100’s off purple. Ashton finished in 6th out of 33 racers and was the second-fastest racer on the track.

Since June of 2020, Ashton has traveled more than 16,000 miles across the United States, hit the largest national races, and raced against the best Micro Swift drivers in the country, all while being one of the youngest and newest at every race. Ashton’s accomplishments include racing the SKUSA Pro Tour, SKUSA Pro Kart, USPKS, IKF, LAKC, PKRA, and CKT. In his rookie season in Micro Swift, he has landed on the podium seven times, won twice, and won his first national race, the IKF Grand Nationals. He made the podium in the SKUSA, IKF, LAKC, ROK, and PKRA. Ashton has been on the steps Ten times this year. In 2020 Ashton did a total of 38 races.
